It has been rightly said that God looks at the heart as far as worship is concerned. However, this does not mean we should be floppy in our worship as if what we do on the outside does not matter. It does.
Psalm 66:1 Shout with joy to God, all the earth! Sing the glory of his name; make his praise glorious!
God is a great God, and He deserves excellent worship. Indeed, true worship begins in the heart. But it ends outside of it. Out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks. If you truly honour God, you will seek to give Him a befitting sacrifice. That is why the psalmist says, ‘Make his praise glorious’
This calls for excellence in worship. If you want to worship through music, make it in the best way you can. If you want to worship through prayer, offer it in the most creative way you can. Making his praise glorious may be costly, but it is worth it!
Go for it. Make His praise glorious, excellent and top class. No compromise! He deserves it.
