Magic Promotions Introduces Influential Women’s Awards

Lilongwe, MANA: Magic Promotions, a branding and promotional entertainment hub has introduced influential women’s award to appreciate and recognize the contribution of women from all sectors of society.

In an interview with Malawi News Agency (MANA), Brazio Mathias, Managing Director for Magic promotions said that the award, to take place at Glalle Garden on 16th October seeks to promote women as they are the first teachers and play a great role in their children’s lives.

“It is our passion to see women doing well in business and also in their different working places and hence we have planned to have an annual event to award them in sectors such as humanities, business, politics, motivators, film making and music, sports and other areas,

I’m sure that the awards encourage women to work extra hard in different sectors for future recognition,” he said.

Mathias added that the awarding ceremony will take place during the grand opening of the Glalle Complex opposite Bingu National Stadium on the 16th of October 2022. The event will be graced by founder of Living Waters International Church Dr. SS Ndovie and notable local musicians.

Magic Promotions is a private company that deals with promotional activities including; artist management, event management, video shooting and branding. Currently tasked to promote a new album for Nick Chakwera.

Commenting on the matter, Public Relations Officer for Ministry of Gender, Fred Simwaka, commended the company for bringing the awards at a very opportune time as Mother’s day is just around the corner.

“It is high time that women are rewarded for all the good things that they are doing. Normally men have more space of rewards than women so as government we are very much pleased that women will be recognised for all the good things that they are doing,

As a country, we commemorate Mother’s Day on 15 of October and join the international community in commemorating International rural women’s day on the same day whereby women are honoured for their social services and hence is a welcome development,” he said.

Simwaka further encouraged different organisations to join hands in supporting Magic Promotions in awarding influential women in all spheres of society.

In a separate interview, Wisdom Magwera, Country Coordinator for Society of Women Advancement in Malawi (SWAM) has hailed Magic Promotions because empowering women is essential to the health and social development of their families and the society at large.

“The winners stand as role models to other women and girls, and encourage them to be working hard to achieve more in fuelling sustainable economies and benefit their societies,

When women are living safe, fulfilled and productive lives, they are able to reach their full potential, and can contribute their skills to the workforce and have happier and healthier families,

Magwera further encouraged all the women from various sectors to continue working hard with the use of their leadership, visionary and their commitment in order to motivate their fellow women and girls to push harder to achieve their goals.
