Mabel Banda Khonje owner of Doll Mable lipstick, “determination and courage can push mountains that’s the case with this beauty of a queen”
Life is like an onion, you have to peel it one layer at a time, and sometimes it makes you cry. But the ultimate end is delicious, that how Mabel’s life was like she struggled but the outcome of that struggle was amazing. She did not reach where she is right now just on a plate of gold nuh! It was from sleepless nights and more. The stunning beauty in this lady called Mable has no limits her looks and her spirit towards life keeps her moving.
Mabel started as an entrepreneur, some years back, she used to have a boutique at the city mall in Lilongwe which was well known as Vogue. She is focusing much on building her name and her brand not building her status because she has let the job of status building to God who would build and mould her into the best he prefers like he did to Abraham.
She has recently launched her lipstick line called “Dollmabel lipstick which was due to hard work and determination it was a good project that she herself could not believe she could manage but with the courage that she has always possessed she made it through.
She has never looked down on herself, and her role models have always been big people. People in power always motivate her, people like Beyoncé, Kim Kardashian, Kimora Lee Simons, and not forgetting my greatest of all, Oprah Winfery.
Her lipstick is found at Michiru Hotel in Area 9, at the moment that’s the only business she is dealing in. She Is a married woman a happily married woman to a loving man named, Sanderson Khonje, and she has two kids of 3 years and 15. But looking at how she takes care of herself no one would think she has children at all. It’s your inner self that can make you look how you exactly want to look, she takes care of herself so she is able to represent her business better.
She does not find problem in balancing her business; work and managing her house thou it’s not easy at times.
It’s never easy being a woman and being in business, that’s why a lot of women end up giving up but it takes a whole lot to be better than what you’re as a woman. She has had time to work with the 2018 Miss Malawi beauty pageant and it was a very pleasing thing for her to work with these ladies. They looked amazing putting on her lipstick brand. She believes wherever these ladies go they will have a story to tell about her lipstick as they have had a first hand experience with it.
She does not wish she was anyone in life she likes it that she is herself. Mabel just makes sure she is better than what she was few hours from what she is now. There are some people in life who are not happy because of wishing they were someone else, which is not on… as a human being you have to learn to appreciate who you are and what you are capable of achieving on your own, don’t let the roughness of what others do and look like affect you to the extent of wanting to denounce yourself and become a copy of others which is not acceptable in Mabel’s planet. In her Kingdom she makes the rules and she lives her life based on herself not a copied version nuh!.
In five years time she sees herself growing both in business and in her personal life as a woman. She wants to own a whole make up line in those five years from now.
Inspiring words to people who want to be like her
Dream, believe and trust in God; put God first in all you do, set goals and achieve them. And don’t ever give up no matter how hard it gets, keep pushing
Her favorite quote
“we rise by uplifting others” no person has made it in life by bringing others down.
Mabel believes in her own theory that says some people you meet and talk to can change the level of your Knowledge and improve it immediately “ which is called intelligence by association that’s why she tries her best to associate herself with people who will add value to her life. She has not reached where she is now by involving herself with people who don’t add value to her life nuh!!.
