2022: Pursuing God’s Heart

By Minister Collin Chingota

There was a time when God rejected the leadership of king Saul and gave it to someone else; David. In recommending David, God said words that we all wish they were said of us. He said David was a man after His own heart.

I Sam 13:14 But now your kingdom will not endure; the Lord has sought out a man after his own heart and appointed him ruler of his people, because you have not kept the Lord’s command.”

Minister Collin Chingota

One of the things we should aspire in this year and this life is to be a man or woman after God’s own heart. What this simply means is that we should be a people who are royal and fully committed to God. When you become such a person, God will seek you out where you are and sit you on his throne. You will not seek positions; positions will seek you.

If you can compare the life of Saul and that of David, one significant difference is that Saul was full of himself, while David was full of God and others. David sought to honour and glorify God in all things, while Saul sought to gain honour for himself in all things. That is what separates true worshipers from self-worshipers.

Let us make a difference and seek the will and glory of God in everything we do. Let God be the priority and centre of all our efforts, and we shall see Him elevate us beyond our imaginations.
