DRIVEN BY ETERNAL PURPOSE
Theme: THE DEADLY HABITS FROM THE PIT OF HELL Part 23.
Beloved Saints, good morning. Let’s looking at the 8th deadly habit from the pit of hell; REBELLION.
What is rebellion?
1. The action or process of resisting legitimate authority, alone or with others.
2. An act of defiance, disobedience, insubordination, mutinousness, subversion, resistance,
dissent, nonconformity, to any legitimate authority.
3. Any action against obeying those in leadership.
4. An act of armed resistance to an established government or leader.
All these above definitions are done without any serious reason but just for the sake of it. Sometimes it is for the sake of selfish reasons and quest for power before time.
You may know that you have rebellious spirit when you love insulting any leader above you, anywhere, even being bitter against your own parents or your very own husband.
In rebellion, kids will insult, without reason, their own parents or teachers, from whom they get support. A rebellious wife will dishonor her husband who cares for her and rebellious husband will insult and disobey any of their leaders and expect salary from them at the same time.
Rebellion is propelled by a poverty mentality spirit killer called demon of rebellion.
This demon builds up slowly till revolt is born. Unfortunately if God hasn’t sent you to do so He turns against you and destroy you. Satan has killed and destroyed many people through this hidden demon killer.
This hidden demon is very contagious. It kills or destroys all people who join rebellion and make friends with the rebel leader.
Let us look at one of the greatest Biblical rebellion during the time of Moses in the wilderness.
Numbers 16:1-2 (GNB)
Korah son of Izhar, from the Levite clan of Kohath, rebelled against the leadership of Moses. He was joined by three members of the tribe of Reuben — Dathan and Abiram, the sons of Eliab, and On son of Peleth — and by 250 other Israelites, well-known leaders chosen by the community.
Now look at what satan was driving at. It was a hidden, set trap for these 250 people but they could not know it. For them it was enjoyable and fun. Unfortunately they died very miserably and instantly all of them together.
Numbers 16:31-32 (GNB)
As soon as Moses had finished speaking, the ground under Dathan and Abiram split open and swallowed them and their families, together with all of Korah’s followers and their possessions.
Some were burnt alive as they assumed priestly or pastoral roles against Moses. God has never changed. Remember Savimbi, Absalom, Mirriam…, no rebel ever had a blessing.
Rebellion is very contagious. It can spread like fire but with the intention to kill and destroy.
But when is rebellion not rebellion?
To be continued….
Pray: My Almighty Loving Father, may I always obey and follow you humbly. Train me now to respect all your legitimate leaders so that you may always protect me, in Jesus’ Name. Amen!.
May God bless your day as you live above all these evil heart habits while seeking and saving the lost souls in love.
Always Love and Prayers,
Archbishop Dr Mark Kambalazaza.
